Job summary

Piping Technology & Products (PT&P) in Houston, TX is seeking an Industrial Engineer II to independently coordinate projects and improve manufacturing processes. You will plan, schedule, and review engineering work, ensuring compliance with codes and PT&P standards.

As an experienced contributor, you will own moderately complex projects, coordinate with clients and internal teams, resolve production issues, and mentor junior staff while escalating complex decisions to leadership.

Qualifications

• BS in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering; master’s preferred.
• 4+ years in manufacturing/industrial engineering; project ownership.
• Strong data analysis, time studies, root cause analysis and CI methods.
• Proficiency in Excel; able to learn company systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute project scopes, schedules, and deliverables.
• Review drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing instructions for accuracy.
• Translate requirements into manufacturing instructions for shop release.
• Analyze methods, cycle times, capacity to identify bottlenecks.
• Conduct time studies and develop standard work and planning inputs.
• Coordinate across Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Sales, Accounting, QA.
• Identify issues, investigate root causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Serve as primary contact for project clients and coordinate with PM.
• Guide junior engineers and staff in questions and process improvements.
