Job summary

Garmin seeks a full-time Industrial Engineer 2 at its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area to lead projects around the physical layout of workspaces.

You will drive ergonomics improvements, participate in design reviews, and conduct tests to enhance productivity and safety. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering with at least 1 year of relevant experience, strong academics, and proficiency with engineering tools and standard processes in warehouse/manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Excellent academics (GPA ≥ 3.0).
• Demonstrated proficiency with engineering tools and processes.
• Understanding of warehouse, manufacturing, or service processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead small projects and sub-projects related to layout design of workspaces.
• Analyze and implement ergonomics within Operations to improve productivity and safety.
• Mockup and test new processes/equipment; design experiments for improvements.
• Conduct cost analyses and justify new equipment or tooling.
• Support lean tools and methods; estimate effort for tasks.
• Provide mentoring to Industrial Engineer I.
