Ursa Major is seeking an Industrial Engineer in Colorado to drive production optimization and process improvement. You will analyze manufacturing processes, implement solutions for safer, more efficient layouts, and use simulation tools to validate changes.

The role emphasizes data-driven methods, standard work, and collaboration across teams. Requires a Bachelor’s in IE or related field and 2+ years in a product-focused setting; aerospace/defense exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years in industrial engineering or manufacturing in a product-focused environment.
• Experience in aerospace, oil & gas, chemical processing, or pharmaceutical preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, and improvements.
• Develop solutions to optimize workflow, layout, ergonomics, and equipment use.
• Conduct time studies and capacity analysis to set standards and improve throughput.
• Design plant layouts for safe, flexible material flow in collaboration with area owners.
• Use simulation and CAD to validate layouts and configurations.
• Support capacity planning and scenario analysis for changes.
• Document standard work and best practices for capacity modeling.
