Job summary

Ursa Major in Colorado is seeking an Industrial Engineer to analyze, design and optimize production processes, driving data-driven improvements across safety, quality, and throughput. You will establish IE standards and lead cross-functional teams to implement lean initiatives and digital modeling solutions.

Responsibilities include time studies, line balancing, capacity planning, and using factory simulations to validate layouts and investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or operations, with track record of line transformation or production scaling.
• Experience in aerospace, oil & gas, chemical processing, or pharmaceutical is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing and business processes to identify bottlenecks and opportunities.
• Develop and implement solutions to optimize workflow, layout, ergonomics, and equipment utilization.
• Conduct time studies, work sampling, and capacity analysis to set standards and improve throughput.
• Design and improve plant layouts to optimize material flow, safety, and flexibility.
• Use simulation models and CAD layouts to validate configurations.
• Support capacity planning and scenario analysis for volume changes and new lines.
• Document standard work and best practices for capacity modeling and line design.
