Job summary
Collins Aerospace in Cheshire, CT is seeking an Industrial Engineer II to join the Industrial Engineering Team on-site. You will apply core IE principles to improve schedule performance, labor productivity, and process flow, driving improvements with CORE engagements across Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.
The role requires 2+ years of experience, knowledge of MES/ERP systems, and Lean/Six Sigma experience.
Qualifications
- You must have a university degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with labor planning, process flow analysis, routing, standard work, and bottleneck identification.
- Experience with MES, ERP, or related manufacturing systems.
- Knowledge of Lean, CORE, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Apply industrial engineering principles to improve schedule performance and productivity.
- Lead CORE Engagements to improve safety, quality, cost and delivery.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain to implement process improvements.
- Analyze routings, work methods, and labor standards to improve efficiency and use of personnel and equipment.
- Support standard work, visual controls and manufacturing documentation; conduct time/motion studies.
- Develop and update facility layouts to optimize material flow and workstation design using AutoCAD.
- Track improvement projects and verify results with measurable metrics.
