RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Industrial Engineer I to support the Effectors factories, maximize throughput, improve efficiency, and deliver value to the customer. You will perform labor analyses, value stream mapping, line balancing, capacity planning, and factory layouts.

The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams on obsolescence, product integration, and safety improvements, while leveraging Six Sigma, Lean, and CORE methods to drive measurable results in a defense context.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar discipline by start date.
• Experience with CAD software.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Capacity Modeling, Facility Design, or Process Optimization.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Model factory operations with process flows, value stream maps, and CAD drawings.
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean principles to improve efficiency and quality.
• Draft infrastructure improvement plans and evaluate new product integration.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on obsolescence and performance projects.
• Support new production contracts and new product proposals.
• Improve factory safety and work cell ergonomics.
