Job summary

RTX is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join the Decorah Manufacturing Support team in Iowa. You will enhance manufacturing processes, drive continuous improvement, and support both manual and automated build and test operations across multiple product lines with a focus on sensors and fire protection.

You will define technical solutions, collaborate with design engineering to improve manufacturability, and lead cost control, inventory, and Lean initiatives while managing medium‑complexity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM field by start date.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements and manufacturing efficiency.
• Experience may come from on-the-job work, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement solutions, tools, and layouts to improve efficiency and safety.
• Collaborate with design engineering to improve manufacturability.
• Lead cross-functional cost control, inventory, and Lean initiatives.
• Solve complex problems and develop new assembly processes via data analysis.
• Estimate timelines and costs for medium-complexity projects.
