Job summary

GAL Manufacturing in Bronx, NY is seeking an Experienced Industrial Engineer I for a full-time role focused on Lean and Six Sigma, time studies, and production-layout improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

The IE will collaborate with CPQ modelling to ensure seamless data flow to ERP, maintain BOMs and routings, and drive continuous improvement across production lines while supporting cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or internship.
• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles preferred.
• Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems, including Infor Visual ERP.
• Understanding of supply chain and manufacturing operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced MS Excel proficiency; SQL experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to create VSM, 6S, and time studies.
• Create or improve production layouts and justify capital equipment needs.
• Collaborate with CPQ modelling to ensure data flow with ERP.
• Maintain Part Masters, BOMs, routings, and related production data.
• Document operational processes, identify requirements, and develop solutions.
