Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Industrial Engineer I for our Houston, TX site. The role coordinates all technical activities on assigned projects, plans and schedules engineering work, and ensures compliance with codes and PTP standards.

You will communicate with clients and internal teams and drive corrective actions when needed. The position reports to the Director of Projects & Engineering and requires a US citizen or green card holder.

Qualifications

2+ years in engineering roles related to industrial equipment, piping & pipe supports.
Understanding of piping & pipe supports, industrial applications, and core engineering principles.
Strong verbal and written communication to engage clients and internal teams.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's preferred.
Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate assigned project engineering work.
Submit manufacturing instructions to shop.
Ensure technical design accuracy across disciplines.
Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
Identify and implement corrective actions to resolve issues.
Coordinate with Purchasing, Accounting, Manufacturing, Sales, and Quality Control.
Ensure successful completion of engineering projects.
