Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer to design operator-friendly workstations and drive efficient production launches. You will collaborate across functions to implement new programs in General Assembly, optimize workstation layouts, and guide station designers through WPI-driven processes.

A Master’s degree is preferred with 1–3 years of experience. Join a federal contractor environment emphasizing process rigor, training, and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years manufacturing/industrial engineering experience.
• 1-3 years General Assembly launch experience.
• Strong understanding of operators workstation designs.
• Strong understanding of man assignments.
• Knowledge of EST (Engineering Standard Time).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work with people at different levels and functions.
• Self-motivation with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Design workstations friendly to operators on the shop floor to enable efficient production of vehicles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve vertical launches for all new programs.
• Understand production systems and WPI and perform man-assignments and line balancing efficiently to minimize disruptions.
• Work with Station Designers to design, layout, and optimize workstations for General Assembly Shops for new program launches.
• Coordinate with WPI Team to integrate aspects of a new program launch and provide training and coaching to other station designers.
