Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Industrial Engineer to own process improvements in the distribution center, partnering with leaders to optimize product flow and implement changes that raise efficiency and service levels. The role combines math, analytics, and hands-on process design to improve workflows, standards, and incentives.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Industrial Engineering and 2–5 years’ experience with AutoCAD, SQL, and Power BI, plus strong communication and project management skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from an accredited college.
• 2-5 years' professional relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of data visualization and management software (SQL, Power BI)
• Experience in developing and implementing engineered work standards, LM system and incentive programs.
• Ability to manage, drive and accept accountability for project progress, quality, and achieve stated goals.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and plan enterprise strategic initiatives, product flow optimization, best practice process improvement, transitional product strategies, and process automation.
• Support distribution safety initiatives and develop improved methods for a safe environment.
• Develop schemes and layouts to support processes.
• Analyze and develop engineered standards using time/motion studies, statistical analysis, and manpower planning tools.
• Implement engineered standards-based incentive programs as directed.
• Determine efficient sequence of operations and workflow for maximum asset utilization. Implement improvements.
• Create continuous improvement through problem solving and data analysis, and implement solutions.
