Job summary

DHL Air (UK) Ltd is seeking an Industrial Engineer to drive operational performance across multiple sites. The role focuses on leading layout improvements, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives for customers, with exposure to diverse product flows and timelines.

The successful candidate will conduct time studies, perform GEMBA walks, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent required.
• 0-4 years of experience in distribution or logistics required.
• Experience with distribution, logistics, project management preferred.
• Some knowledge of Industrial Engineering preferred.
• Basic warehouse operations concepts (inbound, put away, pick, pack, ship).
• Capable of using AutoCAD and making layout changes.
• Able to identify improvement opportunities within operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage deadlines and prioritize workload to achieve results.
• Provide layout, design, improvement, and implementation support for peak performance.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives for the customer.
• Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomics improvements.
• Participate in management circles and deliver tangible results.
