Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Irving, TX, is seeking an Industrial Engineer Co‑Op for January to June 2027. The program develops a future pipeline for full‑time Production and Engineering Analyst roles, with 6 months of hands‑on project work across Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality. You will rotate through manufacturing assignments, preparing reports and presenting outcomes to the Texas A&R leadership team at season end.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• GPA 3.2+ reflected across coursework.
• Must be available for full-time 40 hours/week during co-op period.
• No conflicting internship or employment during the program dates.
• Experience with MS Office tools and Advanced Excel required.
• Knowledge of visualization tools (Power BI) is a plus; fluency in English required.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned Supply Chain projects to improve process efficiency and cost.
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma style improvements on the manufacturing floor.
• Document specifications, processes, and test methods; maintain docs.
• Create concepts/designs for new processes; contribute to reports and dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and health policies.
• Present results to Texas A&R Leadership at program end.

Purpose

Manufacturing Supply Chain Co-Op Program at Johnson and Johnson Texas A&R is a comprehensive learning and professional experience at one of the world’s leading health care companies. This program is designed to build a future pool of candidates for full-time entry-level Production and Engineering Analyst roles, which a Co-op Season may pursue upon successfully completing the internship and their degree program.

Program Components

You will apply for one overall Texas A&R Co-Op position which will provide eligibility for specific department opportunities across Manufacturing functions. The average duration is 6 months of full-time work. Position offers to work in-site in our Irving location 5 days a week. The position may involve a range of manufacturing assignments and may include experiences with one or more of the following departments: Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality.

You will be responsible:

• In this role, the candidate will be assigning and execute one of the Supply Chain projects that increase process Efficiencies, Reduce cycle time, Improve Cost, and improve overall quality of execution within assigned department using project management methodologies (I.E. FPX).
• Makes significant improvements in the assigned areas by using process excellence methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma).
• Undertakes and successfully completes simple or basic project/product development tasks to include any of the following: writing and/or verifying specifications, maintaining product/process documentation, testing processes, equipment, raw materials and product, and validating equipment and processes. and validating equipment and processes.
• May assist in creating concepts and designs/approaches for new products/processes/test methods.
• Prepares standard reports/documentation to communicate results.
• Comply with all environmental, safety and occupational health policies (i.e., ISO14001 & OSHAS 18001).
• Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Performs other duties assigned as needed and based on the project assign.
• At the end of the program, the co-op will have the opportunity to present the results to the A&R Texas Leadership Team. The interim committee and manager will provide sponsoring and support during the Season (Spring).

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial or Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
• You must not have any Summer Internship contract or other employment commitment that could interfere with the contract dates specified for this position.
• Actively practice continuous improvement on the production floor and listen for opportunities to enhance the manufacturing environment.
• Spend approximately 80% of working time on the manufacturing floor and 20% in an office environment.
• Have experience with MS Office Tools, Advance Excel.
• Knowledge Power Apps is highly desirable; Power BI is a plus.
• Requires fluency in English and Communication skills.
• Experience working in a professional environment.
• Have a passion for a career in Manufacturing Supply Chain industry.
• Previous Internship/Coop and/or Academic Research experience is preferred.
• Extracurricular experience in a student association/organization is a plus.
• Possess a strong communication style.
• Ability to assess issues and opportunities, establish priorities, and act with a sense of urgency.
• Knowledge or experience with visualization tools and data analytics.
