Job summary

Stellantis in Detroit is seeking an Industrial Engineer for Assembly to optimize line speed, balance workstations, and conduct time/motion studies using lean concepts to cut waste.

The IE will support the IE manager and supervisor, interface across shop floor to management, and coordinate change control while maintaining productivity and safety. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, with strong MS Office skills and a willingness to work varying shifts and travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of the organization from shop floor to management.
  • Must be self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; Microsoft Office experience.
  • Ability to work any shift, overtime and some travel may be required occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Direct/indirect labor and activities affecting line speed, cycle checks, scrolls and workstation assignments; change control and line balancing.
  • Apply lean concepts to identify/eliminate waste and perform time/motion studies; assist IE manager and IE supervisor with technical services to maintain efficient lean manufacturing and manning.
