Job summary

RTX in Wilsonville is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support process improvements for vision systems and sensors for both commercial and military applications. You will work on cost control, productivity, and inventory management within an integrated product team.

The role requires a STEM degree and hands-on experience with engineering tools like VBA, Minitab, SolidWorks/AutoCAD, and 3D printing; prior aerospace exposure is a plus. This onsite position offers competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Chemical or Electrical Engineering, or related STEM major obtained by start date.
  • Experience with VBA for Excel, Minitab, SolidWorks or AutoCAD, and 3D print environments.
  • Experience in aerospace industry including exposure to optical display systems.
  • Proficiency in gage studies, DOE methodologies, PFMEA.

Collins Aerospace is looking for an Industrial Engineer with knowledge of cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems as part of an integrated product team supporting process improvements for new and existing vision systems and sensors supporting both commercial and military applications.

What You Will Do
  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
  • May assist facilities engineers (planning and design of facilities) and materials logistics (packaging design).
  • Under guidance from senior engineers assists in:
  • Establishing the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow.
  • Planning the sequence of operations and procedures and documents manufacturing standard work and routings.
  • Planning the allocation of resources, materials and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Chemical or Electrical Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
  • Experience/expertise in applications such as, VBA for Excel, Minitab data analysis tools, SolidWorks or AutoCAD, and 3D print environments.
  • Prior experience in the aerospace industry, including exposure to optical display systems and their applications.
  • Proficient in gage studies, Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
