Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Apopka, Florida is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join the Advanced Packaging µ-Line team. You will apply time studies, capacity modeling, and scheduling to optimize production flow and support diverse packaging processes from 2D to 3D.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and IT, develop metrics and dashboards using MES/SAP data, and implement continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve throughput.

Qualifications

• Time studies, capacity modeling, and scheduling experience.
• Excel: macros, data mining, data analytics and pivot tables.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and iterate production build schedules with Development and Production Operations.
• Provide on-floor support with cross-functional teams to identify frontline problems and implement cost-saving solutions.
• Utilize continuous improvement tools to analyze shop floor practices and minimize waste, reduce cost, increase capacity, and optimize scheduling.
• Collaborate with frontline leadership to define current and future state processes and metrics.
• Extract data from MES and SAP to generate production metrics driving cost and cycle-time reductions.
• Lead digital transformation efforts to align Apopka goals with broader sector strategies.
