• Consider disruption recovery plans using capacity and constraint analysis to recover baseline plans and mitigate downstream impacts.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for candidates willing to lead initiatives around production stabilization and sharing Business Administration methodologies applied throughout the industry. Ideal candidates would have experience with capacity planning, resource utilization, process improvement identification through lean methodologies, supply chain planning and logistics, collaborating with multiple support organizations, and developing visual tools to identify performance metrics and areas of opportunity.Our Industrial Engineering contractors will focus on documenting time standards and processes to focus on production stability. This includes observing build processes and recommending process improvements through lean methodologies. Duties may include (but are not limited to):

• Analyzing performance to daily schedules or orders
• Learning the production processes to ensure correct sequencing and resource alignment
• Reducing or eliminate safety and ergonomic issues
• Identifying quality defects trends through root cause analysis and providing recommendations to reduce or eliminate defects
• Providing recommendations on process improvements that reduce non-value added work which would improve cost and flow.
• Depending on the internal and external impacts to the team, you may be building disruption recovery plans using resource capacity and constraint analysis to get back to the baseline plan while working to mitigate impacts to the downstream work statement and major milestones.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

• 1 or more years of experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and/or production environment.
• 1 or more years of experience defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes.
• 1 or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing with knowledge of lean principles.
• Experience developing and deploying standard processes.
• Proficient in structured problem solving.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to crouch down, semi-mobile, walk, and climb stairs while performing duties throughout the day.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in business related curriculum such as: Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Economics. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
