Key Responsibilities We Will Trust You With

The Industrial Engineer is responsible for improving manufacturing processes across assigned value streams to ensure optimal flow, efficiency, and quality. This role focuses on reducing cost, improving lead time, and driving continuous improvement through structured methodologies. The Industrial Engineer partners cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Procurement to resolve process issues, drive corrective actions, and implement sustainable improvements that support customer demand and zero-defect production.

What You Will Be Doing
Manufacturing Process Optimization & Flow
  • Support and manage assigned product value streams to ensure optimal product flow and alignment with customer requirements
  • Analyze manufacturing processes using data and statistical tools to improve capability and reduce non-value-added activity
  • Design system layouts and optimize plant configurations
Continuous Improvement & Quality
  • Apply Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices to improve production rates, efficiency, yields, and throughput
  • Utilize quality tools such as SPC and APQP to monitor performance and proactively identify improvement opportunities
  • Lead and support root cause analysis for internal and supplier corrective actions (CARs and SCARs)
  • Conduct process audits to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities
Product & Process Support
  • Collaborate with Engineering on new product development, including First Article Inspections and process validation
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes
  • Own and maintain Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) standards and customer‑specific requirements
Cost & Performance Improvement
  • Support Cost of Non‑Quality (CNQ) reduction initiatives
  • Execute Product Quality Reviews and drive improvement strategies
  • Ensure process‑related quality issues are addressed through preventive actions
Project & Technology Management
  • Lead and support manufacturing‑related projects to ensure delivery on schedule and within budget
  • Research, evaluate, and implement new manufacturing technologies
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Procurement to resolve issues and align on process improvements
  • Maintain strong alignment with Engineering to ensure consistency and leverage best practices

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering field preferred
  • 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience working with cross‑functional teams and participating in Kaizen events
Technical & Functional Skills
  • Working knowledge of quality tools including SPC, APQP, and related systems
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, metrology, and assembly/testing
  • Experience with flow meters, electronics, or measurement equipment preferred

  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including active listening
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple functions (Operations, Engineering, Quality, Procurement)

Key Interactions

Internally: Collaborate with Operations & Manufacturing, Engineering (Design, Manufacturing, Product Quality), Quality, Planning, Procurement & Sourcing, and Product Lifecycle Management teams

Externally: Interact with key suppliers and vendors supporting manufacturing processes, including equipment providers, tooling vendors, and external partners involved in corrective actions and process improvements

Work Environment

General physical conditions include working in a temperature‑controlled office environment with good air quality, adequate lighting, and low level of noise. If needed to visit manufacturing facility and/or customer sites, there may be some exposure to higher level noises due to machinery and equipment, exposure to dust, and the requirement to wear PPE, along with exposure to varying temperatures and potentially hazardous conditions.

Physical Demands

Position requires regular presence on the manufacturing floor with frequent standing, walking, and interaction with production areas. Work includes periodic sitting for analysis and documentation, routine computer use, and occasional lifting, bending, or use of stairs.
