Industrial Engineer Intern will support continuous improvement and manufacturing optimization initiatives across assigned value streams. This role will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Procurement teams to improve process efficiency, reduce cost, improve lead time, and support customer demand requirements.
The position provides an opportunity to gain exposure to manufacturing operations while applying engineering principles in a real‑world production environment.
Internally:Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Procurement, and Product Management teams.
Externally:Limited interaction with suppliers, vendors, and external partners supporting manufacturing operations and improvement initiatives.
This position works in a combination of office and manufacturing floor environments. General office conditions include a temperature‑controlled setting with routine computer work and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
Time spent in manufacturing areas may involve exposure to machinery, noise, dust, varying temperatures, and moving equipment. Appropriate PPE is required in designated production areas.
Position requires frequent walking throughout the manufacturing facility, standing during observations and project activities, and routine computer use. Occasional bending, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting materials associated with assigned projects may be required.
