Job summary

Carpenter Co. is seeking a 1st shift Electronics Technician at our Conover, NC plant to install, repair, and maintain electronic and computer components of production equipment, ensuring optimal operation for timely production.

Requires 2–4 years in electronics within an industrial setting, ability to read schematics, PLC programming, and knowledge of the National Electrical Code. Forklift/Genie lift certification is preferred or will be pursued.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Two to four years’ experience in electronics with industrial environment exposure.
• Experience or training in repair, design, and installation of electronic control systems.

Responsibilities

• Must be certified forklift, genie boom, and scissor lift operator or willing to obtain certification.
• Advise Maintenance Manager of electrical/mechanical problems and suggest solutions.
• Build, maintain, and repair electronic and computerized systems with minimal supervision.
• Order repair parts via the established purchase order system.
• Read, modify, and create machinery electrical schematics; retrofit control systems.
• Install and service motor controllers and PLCs; ensure proper software upgrades.
