Job summary

EBway LLC, a precision metal-stamping manufacturer in Fort Lauderdale, seeks a hands-on Electromechanical Maintenance Technician to repair and service production machinery on the shop floor.

The role involves responding to breakdowns, identifying root causes, and performing mechanical/electrical repairs across motors, sensors, hydraulics, and PLC-controlled equipment. Must be comfortable around oil, grease, and heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with mechanical/electrical repair in industrial settings.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Willingness for physically demanding repair work.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems on production machinery.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and coordinate with production supervisors to restore operation.
• Maintain and repair stamping presses, feed systems, deburring, CNC equipment, compressors, and related machinery.
• Diagnose problems involving motors, sensors, switches, relays, valves, wiring, and control components.
• Diagnose PLC-controlled equipment and collaborate with engineering for programming support.
• Install and adjust sensors, safety devices, and machine-control components.
• Remove, clean, repair, and replace motors and related components.
• Order replacement parts and document issues for parts design.
• Maintain preventive maintenance and keep accurate maintenance records.
• Inspect machinery to prevent downtime and develop spare-parts inventories.
