About the RolePicture your day starting on the plant floor, where production never truly sleeps. You review the overnight logs, then move quickly from a PLC panel to a hydraulic manifold, isolating a fault before it slows a line. A misaligned conveyor? Realigned. A motor running hot? Diagnosed and corrected. You decide when to fabricate a new bracket, when to weld a repair, and when to machine a replacement part so equipment is back online with minimal downtime. As our Industrial Electro-Mechanical Reliability Technician, you will be the go-to expert who keeps complex machinery running, performs preventive and predictive maintenance, and executes root-cause analysis to improve reliability across the plant. What You’ll TackleDiagnose, service, and sustain industrial electrical and mechanical assets to maximize uptime.Use schematics, meters, and diagnostic tools to trace, test, and correct electrical control issues.Identify and repair faults in motors, electrical components, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.Fabricate, weld, modify, and install machine parts and assemblies as needed.Operate machine shop equipment and precision hand tools to build or adapt replacement components.Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and OEM manuals with accuracy.Execute preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to prevent unplanned failures.Perform root-cause troubleshooting and implement corrective actions to reduce repeat issues.Install, align, relocate, and upgrade production machinery and auxiliary systems.Respond to and support emergency repairs during live production.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.3+ years in industrial maintenance, industrial electrical work, or related manufacturing maintenance.Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic ability in an industrial setting.Hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Demonstrated ability to independently identify failures and determine effective repairs.Practical experience with industrial machinery, motors, controls, and production equipment.Technical ToolkitFluency in reading equipment manuals, electrical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.Knowledge of compressed air, vacuum, hydraulics, and electronic control systems.Competence with machine shop equipment and precision measuring instruments.Preferred BackgroundMaintenance of industrial machinery such as pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and fluid power systems.Welding and fabrication proficiency.Experience creating or modifying machine components and replacement parts.Understanding of facility systems and principles of machine building.Clear communication skills with supervisors and production teams.Basic computer literacy.Physical & Work ConditionsRegularly lift equipment, motors, parts, and materials up to 50 pounds.Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts based on production demand.Safely work at heights using ladders, scissor lifts, and elevated platforms.Core ProficienciesHeavy Equipment RepairMechanical Troubleshooting Skills120/208/240/480 Voltage SystemsElectrical InstallationElectrical TroubleshootingElectrical RepairHigh Voltage SystemsPneumatics TroubleshootingMaintenance and Repair SkillsIndustrial Electrical ExperienceIndustrial Electrical SystemsWorkplace Safety & EHS ManagementDiesel & Heavy Equipment SystemsHydraulic Systems & ComponentsElectrical Systems & Diagnostics (Heavy Equipment)Equipment Diagnostics & TroubleshootingMechanical Systems & Component RepairCrane & Lifting Equipment SystemsLockout/Tagout (LOTO)Electrical Panel InstallationElectrical Schematic ReadingEquipment Repair & MaintenanceEquipment InstallationNotes & ComplianceRole details may evolve as operational needs change; you may be asked to take on related duties to support the organization.
