Sierra Pacific Industries seeks an Electrician - Industrial for its Eugene sawmill in Oregon. The role involves building, maintaining and repairing electrical systems across a manufacturing facility, including PLCs, drives and sensors. You will read blueprints, install conduit, and troubleshoot complex equipment.

Qualifications

• Licensed through the state of Oregon to perform electrical work.
• 2 years’ recent verifiable related work history or equivalent education.
• Understanding of industrial electrical safety, MCCs, three-phase power, running conduit, lighting, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Read and understand blueprints and circuit diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in manufacturing facility.
• Maintain all components required to control machinery, including switches, sensors, PLCs, VFDs, and interface units.
• Recognize and correct electrical hazards and defects.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Inspect motors, switch panels, transformers, lighting, and related components.
• Read blueprints and schematics to determine layout of industrial installations.
• Install electrical conduit and pull wire.
• Troubleshoot encoders, sensors, and vision systems; implement process improvements.
