Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking a qualified Electrician to support our Burney, California sawmill. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, reading blueprints and schematics to plan layouts and troubleshoot advanced sensors and motors.

Qualifications

• 2 years of verifiable related work history or equivalent education required.
• Understanding of MCCs, three-phase power, running conduit, lighting, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with PLCs and reading blueprints/circuit diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in manufacturing facility.
• Maintain controls: switches, sensors, PLCs, variable frequency drives, and interfaces.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and electrical specifications to determine layout.
• Install electrical conduit and pull wire; maintain plant circuits and equipment.
• Troubleshoot encoders, vision systems, sensors; identify and implement process improvements.
• Identify hazards and ensure safety; overtime may be required during busy production times.
