Job summary

Emtech, Inc. is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to support installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of automation and industrial electrical systems.

This role collaborates with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to ensure safety and compliance. Travel across North America required; candidate will install conduit, read schematics, perform diagnostics, and help startup and validation activities.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in industrial, manufacturing, automation, or commercial electrical work.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, circuits, motors, controls, and power distribution.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
• Experience using electrical testing equipment.
• Willingness to travel; valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in elevated locations.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and maintain industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Install conduit, cable tray, wire, and electrical components in industrial/environments.
• Troubleshoot automation, robotics, controls, and power distribution systems.
• Support startup, testing, commissioning, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with controls engineers and automation technicians to integrate systems.
• Inspect installations for codes and safety standards.
• Complete documentation and project records accurately and on time.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and repair activities.
• Travel to customer sites across North America; PPE usage required.
