Job summary

Tenaris in the United States is seeking an Industrial Electrical Maintenance technician to perform advanced maintenance inspections, diagnose, repair and upgrade electrical and electronic equipment, and provide steady support in outages in a safe, efficient manner.

You will work on 480V panels, interpret electrical drawings, calibrate electronic instruments and PLCs (Allen-Bradley or Siemens), log faults, and participate in preventive maintenance, with forklift/overhead crane operation as

Qualifications

• Experience with high- and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose faults and implement permanent fixes.
• Familiarity with PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Siemens) and control circuits.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced electric/electronic maintenance inspections, diagnosis, repairs and upgrades.
• Log failure characteristics and ensure root-cause analysis where applicable.
• Cary out repairs on 480V panels and protection systems.
• Interpret electrical drawings and calibrate electronic instruments.
• Participate in preventive maintenance activities and maintain maintenance records.
• Operate forklift or overhead crane when required.

Industrial Electrical Maintenance

Performs electric and electronic advanced maintenance inspections, diagnosis, repairs and equipment improvements, providing permanent support in emergencies, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures and best practices, complying with defined quality standards.

• Inspects, diagnoses and performs advanced electric and electronic repairs, replacements and upgrades.
• Follows up repairs ensuring the performed work effectiveness.
• Be able to correctly log characteristics of the failure to help determine the root cause of the failure
• Carries out repairs and improvements on 480V and below panels and protection systems.
• Interprets electrical drawings.
• Calibrates and performs adjustments in electronic instruments and industrial PLCs. Allen Bradley or Siemens.
• Verifies and ensures the availability of spare parts
• Verifies the correct functioning of tools, instruments, parts and accessories checking they fulfill with specifications.
• Participates in preventive maintenance activities.
• Interacts with other areas.
• Able to work with outside resources
• Carries out forklift or radio control overhead crane operation when applicable.
• Updates information in the maintenance systems and performs maintenance reports.
• Steel Mill experience is a plus
• Electrical Instrumentation experience is a plus
