Job summary

nVent is seeking an experienced maintenance technician for our Blaine, MN location. You will perform day-to-day troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and minor process improvements for facility and production equipment.

The role requires MN journeyman-level electrician credentials or progress toward licensure within 30 days, plus 4+ years in industrial maintenance. Strong PLC, HMI, and robotics knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• MN Electrician license or hours to test for MN Electrician License within 30 days preferred.
• Complete daily mechanical maintenance in addition to electrical duties.
• 4+ years electric/mechanical maintenance experience preferred.
• PLC certified or able to troubleshoot, program, configure and install PLC processors and components.
• Experience with Rockwell and Siemens PLCs.
• Experience with HMI systems: Rockwell, iFix, Siemens.
• Knowledge of robotics, automation, servo motors, VFDs, energy management and electrical distribution.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on facility and production equipment.
• Assist contractors with servicing equipment and systems.
• Maintain and test electrical and mechanical systems and implement minor process improvements.
