Job summary

Viking Corp seeks a Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems supporting manufacturing equipment and facility operations. You will work with automated machinery, robotics, PLCs, motors, and electrical controls to minimize downtime and keep production safe.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a valid Journeyman Electrician license, with 1–3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Journeyperson Electrician license required.
• 1–3 years of related industrial or manufacturing electrical experience.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems, motors, controls, and automated equipment.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial robotics preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of electrical safety practices and codes.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical wiring, conduit, power supplies, controls for machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and electronic malfunctions in motors and controls.
• Repair or replace faulty wiring, motors, relays, switches, and circuit boards.
• Program, test, and adjust automated equipment and robotic systems as needed.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to resolve problems.
