Job summary

Thompson First Group is seeking an Industrial Electrician for a local client in Easton, MD. The role emphasizes electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and project leadership across shop floor equipment.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of OSHA and Maryland electrical regulations, be able to read schematics, and mentor junior technicians while supporting engineering in productivity improvements. This is a 1st shift role with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience identifying and repairing electrical, electronic, and mechanical problems.
• Strong knowledge of wiring, breakers, fuses, panels, and transformers.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA and Maryland electrical regulations.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and blueprints.
• Experience redesigning PLC or other electronic programs.
• Familiarity with fabrication equipment operations.
• Ability to lead electrical projects and mentor technicians.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping practices.

Responsibilities

• Identify and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical problems quickly and effectively.
• Identify and repair electrical problems, regarding wiring, breakers, fuses, panels and transformers.
• Train and mentor electrical technicians to become electricians.
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams, sketches, etc.
• Redesign/modify PLC and other electronic programs to improve machinery outputs.
• Layout, design and assemble electrical projects (cabinets, sensors, etc.).
• Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to source components.
• Maintain documentation of electrical requirements and work orders.
