Job summary

GAF Michigan City, IN seeks an Electrician to support the maintenance department. The role requires two years of formal training plus on-the-job experience, with knowledge of PLCs, HMI systems, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of industrial electrical experience.
• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Codes and NFPA 70E.
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Ability to enter information into CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment and controls.
• Analyze and recommend repair steps for equipment failures with electrical insight.
• Perform safe electrical checks and follow plant rules and procedures.
• Support day-to-day electrical maintenance and startup activities.
• Enter work orders, parts, and time into CMMS; keep records up to date.
