Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring an Electrician for our Madison, GA plywood facility. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical distribution and process equipment across a busy manufacturing floor.

The role requires hands-on experience with single and three-phase systems, PLC/DCS troubleshooting, and the ability to read electrical schematics. You must be willing to work varied shifts and perform physical tasks in a hot, dusty environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• 1+ year troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
• 1+ year in industrial electrical repair, process controls, and/or instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Solve problems, troubleshoot, install, repair and maintain facility electrical distribution and manufacturing process equipment.
• Understand, troubleshoot and modify PLC/DCS systems.
• Provide feedback on equipment conditions and update job plans.
• Install new conduit and wiring and modify existing wiring.
• Work in a hot, dusty, and noisy industrial environment and adhere to safety rules.
