Job summary

KIK Consumer Products is seeking an Industrial Electrician for 1st shift (6:00am - 4:30pm, Mon-Thu with weekends as needed) to support electrical systems across our Salem manufacturing facility.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and improve electrical/control systems to maximize uptime, reliability, and safety, with a base rate of $38.00-$40.00 per hour plus shift differential based on experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of motors, drives, PLCs, and control systems.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs (MicroLogix/CompactLogix/ControlLogix) and HMI systems preferred.
• Ability to read and modify electrical prints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Proficient in NEC/OSHA standards and electrical safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair low- and high-voltage electrical and control systems across production lines and facility equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues including motors, drives, sensors, relays, PLCs, and 24VDC to 480VAC systems.
• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance and respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Interpret and maintain electrical schematics and documentation; record changes.
• Plan and execute electrical projects with or without guidance from engineering or leadership.
• Size circuits and install conduit per NEC/OSHA codes.
• Upgrade outdated systems to improve safety, reliability, and standardization.
• Support plant components focusing on Allen-Bradley platforms.
• Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLC and HMI systems; convert relay-based systems when applicable.
• Use meters, oscilloscopes, and testing tools to identify root causes.
• Document work orders and maintenance activities in CMMS.
• Collaborate with operations to improve uptime and efficiency.
• Follow Health & Safety, LOTO, GMP, PPE, and environmental requirements.
• Serve as a key member of the plant emergency response team.
