Job summary

KIK Consumer Products Inc. is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician for 1st shift (6:00am - 4:30pm, Mon-Thu with weekends as needed) to support electrical systems across our manufacturing facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and improve electrical and control systems to maximize reliability and safety.

Requires 3+ years in industrial electrical work, experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMI, and capability to read wiring diagrams. Competitive hourly rate and shift differential offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, drives, PLCs, and control systems.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs (MicroLogix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix) and HMI systems preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and modify electrical prints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of NEC, OSHA standards, and electrical safety practices (including hazardous classifications such as Class I, Div. 1 preferred).
• Familiarity with cGMP or regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Experience using a CMMS for maintenance tracking and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair low- and high-voltage industrial electrical systems across production lines and facility equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and control issues including motors, drives, sensors, relays, PLCs, and 24VDC to 480VAC systems (primarily Allen-Bradley; some Siemens).
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and respond to electrical breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Interpret, modify, and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation.
• Plan and execute electrical projects, including upgrades, installations, and improvements.
• Size circuits and install conduit in accordance with NEC, OSHA, and local electrical codes.
• Upgrade outdated or unsafe electrical systems to improve safety and reliability.
• Support and standardize plant electrical components and controls, with a focus on Allen-Bradley platforms.
• Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLC and HMI systems, including conversion of relay-based systems to PLC controls when applicable.
• Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment to identify root causes.
• Document work orders, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities in the CMMS.
• Partner with operations and maintenance teams to improve uptime, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Follow all Health & Safety, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), GMP, PPE, and environmental requirements.
• Serve as a key member of the plant emergency response team
