Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking a qualified Electrician to perform building and maintenance electrical work at our Lincoln, California sawmill. The electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, following blueprints and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2 years' recent verifiable related work history or equivalent education.
• Industrial electrical safety, MCCs, three-phase power, running conduit, lighting, electrical, and hydraulic systems knowledge.
• Familiarity with PLCs and programming is preferred.
• Read and understand blueprints and circuit diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in manufacturing facility.
• Maintain all components required to control machinery including switches, sensors, and PLCs.
• Identify hazards and correct electrical defects safely.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Inspect motors, panels, transformers, and lighting; read blueprints and schematics.
• Install conduit and pull wire; ensure safe, efficient plant circuits.
• Troubleshoot encoders, sensors, and vision systems; implement process improvements.
• Communicate clearly and follow complex verbal and written instructions.
