Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking an Industrial Electrician to support our sawmill in Anderson, California. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, control machinery with PLCs, VFDs, and sensors, and read blueprints for layouts.

Qualifications

• 2 years of recent verifiable sawmill/industrial and motor controls experience.
• Arc weld / Stick weld ability is required.
• Understand MCCs, three‑phase power, running conduit, lighting, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of photocells, limit switches, encoders, proximity sensors, analog/digital devices, frequency drives, three‑phase motors.
• Basic ladder logic and PLC reading/giving preferred; familiarity with PLC programming.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing facility.
• Maintain components to control machinery: switches, sensors, PLCs, VFDs, interface units.
• Read blueprints/schematics to lay out industrial electrical installations.
• Install conduit and pull wire; work from ladders; maintain motor controls and transformers.
• Troubleshoot encoders, sensors, and vision systems; identify process improvements.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness; perform overtime during busy production times.
