Job summary

Specialty Granules LLC is looking for an experienced Electrical & Controls Technician II at their Blue Ridge Summit plant. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills and a thorough understanding of electrical systems. Responsibilities include maintaining electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and implementing improvement projects.

Qualified candidates should have at least four years of industrial experience with a high school diploma, while those with a technical certificate or advanced degree will be preferred.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in a continuous process atmosphere.
• Understanding of diagnosing and troubleshooting power using AC and DC voltages.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code and electrical safety.
• Experience with motors, panels, and communication systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair the plant’s electrical equipment.
• Maintain electrical safety standards.
• Respond quickly to process upsets.
• Comply with electrical installation regulations.
• Install new improvement projects as assigned.
