Job summary

Borman-Specialty-Materials-LL is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot and repair electrical and instrumentation systems in a heavy industrial setting in Henderson, NV. You will install, tune, and maintain VFDs, switchgear, PLCs, motors, valves, and pneumatic systems to support production.

Requirements include a two-year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance and at least three years journeyman-level electrical experience, plus the ability to read schematics and work in confined

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance.
• Minimum three years journeyman-level electrical experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical/instrumentation equipment.
• Experience reading diagrams and schematics.
• Experience with 3-phase and 480VAC electrical repair/troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Electrical/Instrumentation systems and Controls.
• Install and maintain Electrical/Instrumentation systems and Controls.
• Participate in PM program.
• Record work results and parts usage in maintenance management system.
• Cross-train in instrumentation.
• Work in elevated and confined spaces, indoors and outdoors.
• Reports to instrument/electrical maintenance supervisor.

Troubleshooting and repairing; Installing and Maintaining (Tuning) Electrical and Instrumentation systems and Controls:

• VFD's
• 480VAC - 15KV Switchgear
• Instrumentation
• PLC's
• 480VAC 3 Phase motors
• 4160VAC Motors and Soft Starts
• Control Valves and Actuators
• Pneumatic Systems Maintenance and Repair
• Lighting Maintenance and Repair

Additional Job Details:

• Participating in a Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program.
• Working with Operations Personnel to identify and prioritize maintenance needs.
• Recording Work Results and parts usage in a maintenance management system.
• Ability to cross-train in instrumentation.
• Moderate to high physical exertion - up to 85% of time spent walking, standing, climbing, bending, or stooping. Work is done in elevated as well as confined spaces, and indoor and outdoor environments.
• This position reports to the instrument/electrical maintenance supervisor.

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance and minimum Three years or more of Journeyman Level Electrical experience in an Industrial Environment.
• Experience troubleshooting and Maintaining Electrical/Instrumentation Equipment.
• Experience using PC for Drawings and Information related to equipment.
• Experience reading Technical Diagrams and Schematics.
• Experience with 3 Phase and Single-Phase electrical repair/troubleshooting up to 480VAC.

Monday-Friday day shift, plus overtime and callouts as required to support production.

The salary is $31.23 - $37.76/hour DOE plus excellent benefits commencing on date of hire, including:
