Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc. in Cleveland, OH is seeking an Electrician/Maintenance on the 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM) to repair, construct, install, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.

The position offers starting pay of $39.28 per hour plus a $0.70 per hour shift premium, with overtime as required. The role requires hands-on maintenance of industrial machinery, reading blueprints, performing preventive maintenance, and complying with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as an industrial electrical maintenance technician in manufacturing.
• Journeyman Electrical Certification is a plus, not required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Able to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Experience operating forklift, scissor lift, and Skytrax safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on industrial machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues and implement repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failures.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Maintain maintenance records and report equipment status.
• Ensure safety regulations and company policies are followed.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills during downtime and repairs.
