Job summary

Broward County Government is seeking an Industrial Electrician for Water/Wastewater facilities. The role focuses on live high-voltage circuits, industrial equipment, and diagnostic work across pumps, motors, and control panels.

Requires hands-on experience and the ability to interpret schematics with safety and compliance in mind. The position demands four years in industrial electrical installation/maintenance, including 4160-volt exposure.

Qualifications

• Requires four (4) years' experience in industrial electrical installation and maintenance.
• Includes one (1) year experience working with 4160 volts in an industrial environment.
• Certifications and licenses listed in Preferences (CCST, VFD, SCADA/PLC) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, and maintains electrical components of high voltage industrial equipment.
• Installs and troubleshoots high voltage electrical apparatus including motors, pumps, panels, and control systems.
• Performs routine electrical maintenance to keep facilities/equipment in operating condition.

CCST Level I Certification

VFD Certification/Experience

SCADA/Allen Bradley PLC

I/O Construction programming

Education

Vocational/Technical or Associates Degree in electrical work.

Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in related field
