Job summary
The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for an Industrial Electrician to maintain County facilities and industrial equipment, with emphasis on high voltage work and live circuits (4160 volts). This role requires working nights, holidays and weekends to support essential operations in aviation facilities.
Candidates should have four years of industrial electrical installation and maintenance experience, including one year with 4160 volts, and must obtain
Qualifications
- Four years' experience in industrial electrical installation and maintenance.
- Experience working with 4160-volt systems in an industrial setting.
- Ability to obtain airport security and airfield credentials.
Responsibilities
- Installs, repairs, and maintains electrical components of high voltage industrial equipment.
- Install and troubleshoot high voltage apparatus up to 1000 HP including motors, pumps, and control panels.
- Work on live circuits at 4160 V and 3-phase 480 V, including 230 V and 115 V.
- Install branch circuits, lighting, generators, transformers; replace breakers, relays, fuses.
- Troubleshoot problems, estimate materials and scheduling, perform preventive maintenance.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
