Job summary

Chinchor Electric, Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician Foreman to lead crews in heavy industrial electrical projects, including water and wastewater facilities.

You will supervise apprentices and electricians, troubleshoot and maintain complex electrical systems, and ensure safety and code compliance across multiple sites in Florida. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of supervising experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial electrical experience, with water/wastewater facilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of motors, pumps, MCCs, VFDs, panels, instrumentation, and SCADA systems.
  • Experience installing/maintaining conduit systems, underground conduit and duct banks.
  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and electrical specs.
  • Proficient in using testing equipment and hand tools for troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of NEC and lockout/tagout safety procedures.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of crews of electrical apprentices and industrial electricians.
  • Coordinate with project superintendent/manager for successful project completion.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot electrical systems for water/wastewater facilities.
  • Install/terminate conduit, wiring, feeders, and equipment for treatment processes.
  • Diagnose issues using testing equipment and restore operation safely.
  • Inspect equipment for hazards, defects, and code compliance.
  • Perform testing of systems and power distribution equipment.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to support operations.
  • Follow all safety and lockout/tagout standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Pay: $28+ Hourly, Based on Experience

Travel & night work may be required. MUST be able to work out of town and nights, on occasion.

  • Oversee the daily operations of crews of electrical apprentices and industrial electricians.
  • Work closely with the project superintendent and project manager to ensure the efficient and successful completion of projects from start to finish.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems associated with water and wastewater treatment facilities, including pumps, motors, MCCs, control panels, instrumentation, SCADA systems, underground conduit, and duct bank systems.
  • Install and terminate conduit, wiring, feeders, and electrical equipment for treatment processes, lift stations, and facility infrastructure.
  • Diagnose electrical and control system issues using testing equipment and hand tools to safely restore system operation.
  • Inspect electrical systems and equipment for hazards, defects, and code compliance.
  • Perform testing of electrical systems, controls, instrumentation, and power distribution equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, operators, engineers, and other trades to support plant operations and project activities.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and site-specific safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of supervising experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial electrical experience required, with experience in water or wastewater treatment facilities strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems including motors, pumps, MCCs, VFDs, control panels, instrumentation, and SCADA systems.
  • Experience installing and maintaining conduit systems, underground conduit, duct banks, feeders, and power distribution equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, control schematics, and electrical specifications.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting electrical and control systems using standard testing equipment and hand tools.
  • Knowledge of NEC requirements, electrical safety standards, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Ability to work safely in active industrial, water treatment, and wastewater treatment environments.
  • Capable of lifting materials, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces when required.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Class A CDL *Preferred* (Must have had for at least 3 years).
Physical Demands

Must be able to perform multiple tasks and can handle the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to, digging using a shovel, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50lbs.
