Job summary

Chinchor Electric, Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician Foreman to lead electrical projects in water and wastewater treatment facilities across Florida. Travel and night work may be required.

Must read blueprints, install and maintain MCCs, VFDs, control panels, and SCADA systems while following safety standards. We offer 100% employer-paid medical, 401K with match, apprenticeship opportunities, and a path for advancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of electrical experience; water/wastewater facility experience preferred.
• Able to read blueprints, one-line diagrams, and electrical specs.
• Knowledge of NEC and electrical safety standards; lockout/tagout routines.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems for water/wastewater facilities (pumps, MCCs, panels, SCADA).
• Install and terminate conduit, wiring, feeders, and electrical equipment for treatment processes.
• Diagnose electrical and control system issues using testing equipment and hand tools.
• Inspect systems/equipment for hazards, defects, and code compliance.
• Test controls, instrumentation, and power distribution to ensure safe operation.
• Coordinate with supervisors, operators, engineers, and other trades to support plant operations.
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and site-specific standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type:

Full Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Pay:

$25+ Hourly, Based on Experience

Travel & night work may be required. MUST be able to work out of town and nights, on occasion.

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems associated with water and wastewater treatment facilities, including pumps, motors, MCCs, control panels, instrumentation, SCADA systems, underground conduit, and duct bank systems.
• Install and terminate conduit, wiring, feeders, and electrical equipment for treatment processes, lift stations, and facility infrastructure.
• Diagnose electrical and control system issues using testing equipment and hand tools to safely restore system operation.
• Inspect electrical systems and equipment for hazards, defects, and code compliance.
• Perform testing of electrical systems, controls, instrumentation, and power distribution equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Coordinate with supervisors, operators, engineers, and other trades to support plant operations and project activities.
• Follow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and site-specific safety standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements – Water & Wastewater Treatment Electrician:

• Minimum of 3 years of electrical experience preferred, with experience in water or wastewater treatment facilities strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems including motors, pumps, MCCs, VFDs, control panels, instrumentation, and SCADA systems.
• Experience installing and maintaining conduit systems, underground conduit, duct banks, feeders, and power distribution equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, control schematics, and electrical specifications.
• Proficient in troubleshooting electrical and control systems using standard testing equipment and hand tools.
• Knowledge of NEC requirements, electrical safety standards, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to work safely in active industrial, water treatment, and wastewater treatment environments.
• Capable of lifting materials, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces when required.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Class A CDL *Preferred* (Must have had for at least 3 years).

Physical Demands

Must be able to perform multiple tasks and can handle the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to, digging using a shovel, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50lbs.
