Job summary

Redwood Farms Meat Processors, based in Estherville, IA, is seeking an experienced Plant Electrician for our day shift. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and production equipment, read blueprints, and respond to emergencies to minimize downtime.

Ideal candidates have an electrical degree or apprenticeship, knowledge of SCADA/PLC, and familiarity with HVAC and safety standards. Expect competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Electrical degree or completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program.
• Experience as electrician/technician preferred; manufacturing a plus.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, control wiring, safety systems, blueprints, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, low/high voltage, and lighting systems.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance and inspections on electrical systems and production equipment.
• Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
• Respond to emergency radio calls and repair machinery with minimal downtime.
• Understand HVAC, refrigerant (Freon) and CO2 systems and related testing equipment.
• Follow NEC, state/local codes and food safety requirements.
