Job summary

Tetra Tech Digital Systems is seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians to support industrial, oil & gas, and infrastructure projects across West Texas and New Mexico. The role covers installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems in field environments.

Candidates will have a Journeyman Electrician License (TX/NM preferred) and about 5 years of industrial electrical experience. Travel throughout the region and strong safety culture are required.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician License as required; Texas or New Mexico license preferred.
• 5 years of industrial electrical experience.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Midstream, Compressor Stations, Processing Facilities, or similar industrial environments.
• Working knowledge of NEC and industrial electrical practices.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass required screenings.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electrical power, control, and instrumentation systems.
• Install and terminate conduit, cable tray, power, control, and communication cabling.
• Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues.
• Support commissioning, startup, maintenance, and facility upgrades.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-lines, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
• Lead small crews and mentor apprentices while maintaining a strong safety culture.
