Job summary

Morton Salt, Inc. is seeking an Electrician at the Fairport Mine to perform general electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and installation of new systems. The role operates on a Monday–Friday 2nd shift (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm).

Strong experience in 3-phase systems and motor controls is required. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical equipment in heavy industrial environments, collaborating with operations and vendors to source parts and ensure uptime and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain 3-phase systems and motor controls (480V and 4160V).
• Must be able to apply for an ATF license through Morton Salt.
• MSHA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair low- to high-voltage electrical systems and equipment.
• Document work via inspection sheets, timecards, work orders, and reports.
• Use CMMS and schematics to plan, execute repairs and close tasks.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and vendors to source parts.
• Support mechanical repairs and perform routine upkeep.
• Work safely and adhere to electrical safety practices.
