Job summary

Haartz invites applicants for a 2nd shift Electrician role in Acton, MA. You will work Monday through Friday, 1:00pm–11:00pm, reporting to the Controls Manager in Plant Engineering.

Responsibilities include installing and repairing electrical systems on industrial equipment, with a 10% shift differential and on-site duties in Acton. Candidates should have a MA Journeyman’s License, 1–3 years of industrial electrician experience, PLC troubleshooting ability, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• MA Journeyman’s License required.
• 1–3 years’ Industrial Electrician experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC control systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install control level wiring and electrical conduit for work orders and projects.
• Terminate power and control wiring to machines and equipment based on electrical drawings.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning electrical & control systems including PLC and I/O based systems, AC & DC drives, load cell and isolation amplifiers, transformers, motors, lighting fixtures.
• Test malfunctioning machinery and discuss malfunction with other maintenance workers and plant personnel to diagnose problems.
• Replace faulty electrical components on equipment such as relays, amplifiers, motors, drives, position sensors, and other control devices.
• Assist mechanical personnel when additional resources are needed.
• Travel between the Hayward Road and Craig Road facilities in Acton.

Job Summary

Haartz has an exciting opportunity to join our Facility Maintenance team as a 2 nd shift Electrician, Monday through Friday, 1:00pm - 11:00pm, reporting to the Controls Manager in the Plant Engineering department. This position’s primary responsibilities include installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. This position is full-time, base pay includes a 10% shift differential, overtime is paid after 8 hours and is on-site in Acton, MA.

Successful candidates will be self-motivated, able to problem solve and make decisions with minimal supervision. They will have strong troubleshooting skills and be detail oriented with excellent communication, organizational and time management skills. A strong work ethic, flexibility and ability to work in a team environment are a must!

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Experience working in Manufacturing or similar industry strongly preferred.
• Ability to read electrical prints.
