Job summary

Mariposa Associates seeks an experienced electrical technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic systems supporting production operations in Freeport, IL. This union position covers 2nd and 3rd shifts with a wage scale and shift differential.

Responsibilities include reading schematics, wiring and testing equipment, and supporting DC controls and programmable systems. A union card is a plus; HS diploma or GED required and 3–5 years of industrial electrical

$22.00–$37.23/hr DOE (Union Wage Scale) | 2nd & 3rd Shift | $0.50/hr Shift Differential | Freeport, IL

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the electrical and electronic systems that support production operations. This is a union position covering 2nd and 3rd shift.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Install, test, program, and repair electrical and electronic equipment
• Read electrical, electronic, and pneumatic schematics
• Work with DC controls, solid-state controllers, M-G sets, and rectifiers; troubleshoot adjustable-speed systems (mag amps, SCRs)
• Support microprocessor-based and programmable control systems
• Work with thermocouples, RTDs, pressure transducers, load cells, photoelectric sensors, and Allen-Bradley components
• Use gas torch equipment

WHAT YOU NEED:

• HS Diploma or GED
• 3–5 years industrial electrical experience
• Industrial troubleshooting experience on pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Union card-carrying electrician a plus
