Job summary

NOW Hiring Heroes seeks an Industrial Electrician in Rockford, IL to support manufacturing operations through installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems. This full-time role requires independent work and a focus on safe, reliable plant performance.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, wiring, PLCs, motors, and control panels, plus maintaining equipment and complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Industrial or manufacturing electrical maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, controls, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with PLCs, motors, and production equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform emergency repairs
• Install and maintain motors, transformers, control panels, breakers, switches, PLCs, and wiring
• Perform electrical work on production equipment such as presses, conveyors, molding machines, and printing systems
• Install conduit and electrical infrastructure as neededMaintain plant lighting, paging systems, time clocks, batteries, chargers, and forklifts
• Monitor workplace safety and comply with all electrical and plant safety standards
• Maintain electrical parts and supplies inventory and report material needs
• Perform work inside and outside the facility, including ladder climbing and handling heavy tools
