Job summary

Accelera in the Alliance/Salem, Ohio region is seeking a skilled Industrial or Plant Maintenance Electrician. You will install, inspect, and repair electrical circuitry and equipment across the plant, troubleshoot complex systems, and support high-voltage hardware alongside Electrical Engineers to keep production safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• Completion of a High School Diploma, GED, or Vocational School certification.
• Solid understanding of NEC codes, electrical principles, and wiring standards.
• Demonstrated ability to use multimeters, standard trade tools, and testing equipment.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to navigate industrial software and equipment interfaces.
• Strong diagnostic and mathematical abilities for interpreting technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and wire electrical power feeds, circuits, and various apparatuses across the facility.
• Interface with PLC processors using a laptop to monitor variables, update software, and replace AC/DC drives or sensors to keep production running smoothly.
• Perform essential maintenance by isolating circuits and cleaning electrical sub-components to ensure a safe and reliable working environment.
• Configure and repair radio controls, transmitters, and electrical systems for facility locomotives and overhead cranes.
• Interpret complex schematics and blueprints to trace power circuits and resolve unique electrical malfunctions.
• Monitor air compressor reservoirs and perform routine oil maintenance to help prevent mechanical failures.
• Work closely with Electrical Engineers and Maintenance Foremen to coordinate repairs and improve overall maintenance workflows.
• Maintain a secure workplace by strictly following LOTO procedures and all relevant safety management standards.
