Qualifications

• Assemble and install electrical circuits, systems, instrumentation and equipment including motors, regulators, controllers, generators and switches.
• Inspect equipment, diagnose faults, document repairs and schedule follow-up actions.
• Know how to use multimeters, voltmeters and ammeters; understand electrical tests.
• Understand electrical distribution systems, switchgear, codes and safety requirements.
• Configure, commission and troubleshoot AC/DC drives, HMI, PLC or DCS systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair machinery, equipment and facilities under supervision.
• Document changes to drawings and notify Engineering as needed.
• Ensure all wiring and devices in panels are properly labeled and drawings are up to date.
• Assist lower maintenance staff with electrical symbols and drawings for accuracy.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and comply with drug and background checks as required.

Working from general verbal and written instructions, according to established operating procedures, performs the following duties:**What You Bring to the Team:*** High school diploma or GED is REQUIRED -- technical or vocational certification a plus* Be able to assemble and install all types of new or repaired electrical circuits, systems, instrumentation, and equipment, including but limited to motors, regulators, controllers, generators, switches* Inspect electrical equipment and machinery, diagnose faulty operation, determine proper corrective action, document in current or future maintenance scheduling program, and make indicated repairs* Knowledge of multi-meter, voltmeter, ammeter, ground locating and other electrical tests.* Possess working knowledge of electrical distribution systems and switchgear.* Must know Underwriter codes, national codes, state and local codes, company rules and regulations and comply with them* Configure, Commission, Troubleshoot & Startup any AC/DC Drive, any (HMI) Human Machine Interface current, (PLC) Programmable Logic Controller or (DCS) Distributive Control System current and future installed based with minimal assistance from engineering.* Document all electrical changes by red-line plant drawings and notifying Engineering with a copy of said changes.* Ensure that all wires and devices in/outside panels and labeled.* Assist lower class maintenance personnel with proper electrical symbols & check drawings marked up for accuracy.
